Tier restrictions and subsequent lockdowns have meant many pubs in the borough have been closed since last year.
While some were allowed to open beer gardens last month, those without have been forced to remain closed – but now Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed indoor hospitality can reopen from Monday, May 17, when people can enjoy their first “proper” indoor pint.
We have put together a list of the pubs that plan to open, according to their social media pages.
If you run a local pub, please send us pictures of your customers enjoying themselves on the day you re-open indoors by emailing david.kessen@jpimedia.co.uk.
You can also email us if you are re-opening for the first time on Monday, to be added to our list.
In these confusing and worrying times, local journalism is more vital than ever. Thanks to everyone who helps us ask the questions that matter by taking out a subscription or buying a paper. We stand together. Liam Hoden, editor.
