Police made a number of arrests after a late night anti-knife and drugs operation in Doncaster city centre.

South Yorkshire Police officers targeted revellers in Lazarus Court with a knife arch operation with police checking on club and pub goers for weapons.

The drive, carried out by the Central Neighbourhoods Policing Team, saw a number of people held.

A spokesman said: “As a result of the activity, several people were arrested on suspicion of drug offences. All have been released under investigation.”
