‘Beautiful’ pet cat Luna was found dead on the Roman Ridge at Scawsby with gunshot wounds last week – and now it has emerged another cat may have suffered the same fate in the same place a few weeks ago.
After reading the report of Luna's death, one local, who declined to be named, explained how her partner had witnessed an elderly woman sobbing on the path for her own cat several weeks ago.

“The old lady was told that a dog had attacked it and the person who owned the dog had thrown it in the hedge.
“But when they found it, there wasnt a mark on it. Just like Luna, it was long haired so they wouldn't have noticed a shot wound.
“I'm wondering if it happened to that one too.
“The old lady was devastated and said he was her only friend.
“She buried him for her on the Ridge.”
