Six people from Doncaster travelled to Bakewell for exercise - breaking lockdown rules

A Bakewell Safer Neighbourhood Team Police office said: “Visitors from Doncaster arrive for their exercise, not ideal. Didn’t quite get the memo of “exercise with one other person” All six advised and the group dispersed.”
The country is in its third national lockdown to try and reduce the spread of Coronavirus and the government have issued rules on what can an can not be done.

Hide AdThe rules state: “ You must not leave your home unless you have a reasonable excuse (for example, for work or education purposes).
“If you need to travel you should stay local. This means you should avoid travelling outside of your village, town or the part of a city where you live. You should reduce the number of journeys you make overall.”
The journey from Doncaster to Bakewell is 45 miles and is not considered local from Doncaster.
