Firefighters carry out purrfect cat rescue in Sheffield house fire
and live on Freeview channel 276
In an incident that occurred on Wednesday (February 17), three fire crews from Central, Birley Moor and Lowedges (green watch) stations were called to a premise fire at 11.30am on Goodwin Road.
No one was in the premise at the time apart from the three cats.

Hide AdFirefighters entered the building and safely rescued them all.
The cats were all given oxygen via the Smokeypaws oxygen masks.
In a statement, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said the cats were subsequently taken to the vets for further medical attention.
“The cats were taken to the vets and spent the night there, but have all made a full recovery.
“The fire was accidental and had involved a kitchen appliance. Firefighters left the scene at 12:40pm.”
