Norton Junior School pupils beat all comers to take top swimming title
The pupils made a big splash at a swimming gala held between twelve school teams from the borough.
They took the champions’ trophy back to their school having beaten eleven other teams to take the title.

Hide AdThe contest took place at Adwick Leisure Complex, which is run by Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust (DCLT).
It pitched the teams, from schools which all use DCLT centres to provide swimming lessons for their pupils, against each other in a number of different races across the competition.
Swimming development officer at DCLT, Ryan Scott, said: “Congratulations to all the young stars who took part in the gala. They all did themselves proud by giving their best and representing their schools with pride.
“Norton Junior School did enough to take the trophy this time, but were pushed by all the other teams from across Doncaster.

Hide Ad“It just goes to show what talent we have here and we look forward to welcoming these pupils to our centres as they continue to develop as swimmers.”
They had already competed in a number of heats over the past few months to earn their finals berth. Those were won by Warmsworth Primary A, Montagu Primary and Norton Primary.
