VIDEO: Assault suspect arrested after drama outside Doncaster town centre bank
A man has been arrested after a dramatic police swoop following an alleged assault outside a Doncaster High Street bank.
Around six police vehicles including a riot van descended on the scene outside the Lloyds Bank on the corner of High Street and Priory Place, with their lights flashing and sirens sounding.
Witnesses described officers restraining a man and then taking him away inside one of the vehicles.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said they were called out at 3.05pm in relation to a suspected assault outside the bank, and made one arrest.
