Cole signed a six month contract with Rovers last week after switching from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.
It ended a frustrating two-year spell at the DW Stadium where injuries and a struggle for game time blighted his stay.

“People have probably seen what I can do before but it’s a case of just being out there regularly again and showing that I can still do it,” Cole said.
“You always want to compete at the highest level.
“For me, it was about coming back here, getting my head down, playing consistently, scoring goals and making sure I put in good performances for me and the team and hopefully getting back to the Championship.
“I think any striker has to be confident of scoring on a regular basis. That’s no different for me here. I believe whatever level I play at I’ll score goals.

Cole admitted he was expected to remain with Motherwell for the remainder of the campaign until he was recalled by Wigan who were keen to cash in with his contract set to expire in the summer.
Though he was forced to wait a few weeks to secure a new employer, he was excited by the prospect of joining Rovers after being sold on the club by Darren Moore.
He said: “For me, it was just a case of going back [to Wigan] and wherever I ended up going, just getting my head on to go again and crack on.
“I met the manager the week before I signed and liked what he had to say.
“I’d looked at them in the table and seen them play and they play good football. It’s a great position to come into.”
