Rovers are looking to return to winning ways after going seven without a victory as they host relegation-struggling Wigan this afternoon.
And Latics boss Richardson is expecting a tough test as his side go on the hunt for a vital victory of their own.
“Andy Butler is a great lad,” Richardson said.

“That’ll be a work in progress for them but in my opinion, they’re a very good team with some good players.
"They’re expressive in the way they want to play and we’ll have our hands full. We’ve got to be aware of that, but also impose ourselves on the game.”
Wigan have failed to win in their last five and head into today’s game sitting second bottom in League One, two points from safety.

Hide AdIt has been a tough season for the Latics who started the campaign in administration and were only brought out at the start of this month following a successful takeover.
Though they have struggled on the pitch throughout, it has been widely acknowledged that they have performed much better since the turn of the year and have been unfortunate not to pick up more positive results.
Richardson puts the shift in performances down to the mentality within the squad and he remains optimistic that his side can fight their way out of danger.
“It’s a mindset we’ve had,” he said.
"With all the change we’ve had throughout the season, we’ve succumbed to certain challenges.

“That hasn’t changed at all. I think if we give a good account of ourselves and be as honest as we can be, everybody will be okay with it.
“Hopefully, in these last seven games, we’ll get the points we need to stay in the division."
