We’ve tracked down the 14 tips you NEED in lockdown, from the people who usually take care of it all for us...
1. Give your stressed skin some love
"This is a very stressful time, so look after yourself to reduce skin breakouts," says Jodie, of Jodie Danielle Beauty Lounge in South Yorkshire.
"Use a cleanser and toner, and moisturise using upwards motion. Give your skin time to off from make-up.
"Always wear an SPF when outside and drink plenty of water to leave skin clearer and softer. "
Your local salons can’t wait to have you back, so until then, be good to yourselves." Photo: .
2. Seek help if you're concerned
"It is important to remember that health services are still available, so listen to your body and seek medical advice if you think something is wrong," says Gemma Malpass, a paediatric sister in A&E at Barnsley Hospital.
"Don’t put off something that is worrying you. Our hospitals and other health services have measures in place to minimise the risks from coronavirus." Photo: .
3. Don't turn to box-dye - embrace your roots!
"If you usually have your hair professionally coloured, resist the urge to turn to box-dye," says Jessica Shaw-Jones, of Hair Dot Com in South Yorkshire.
"Once isolation is over, your usual stylist will have to re-strand test your hair for safety reasons.
"Instead, take the time to embrace your roots, and give your hair a rest - it will only do it good!" Photo: .
4. Stay positive and stay connected
"Create a structure for your day and stick to it, as our minds function best when there is pattern to life," says Chesterfield life coach, Anne Burton.
Plan your work, rest and play time, and limit your news intake to once a day.
"Focus on what's positive, and stay connected to people.
"Open the windows, tend a pot plant, and enjoy nature however you can." Photo: .
